This painting was created on location near Morgan Mill Texas (CR 156). I saw a pull out and this lovely scene where I decided to paint this small study inside my car. Gouache (pronounced Gwash) is a very archival opaque water medium that has been around for centuries. It has been widely used by illustrators and is coming back into vogue as a fine art medium as well. It is completely archival and can be lightly varnished or framed and matted just like a watercolor to preserve the nature of the work. It is painted on acid free crescent board.
